Flowers

I admire the beauty of flowers whenever their scents invite me to plan my next holiday.

I admire their versatile, semiotic presence on remarkable human occasions, becoming

witnesses to eternal unions or acting as white flags, interceding for forgiveness.

Flowers have countless qualities and properties.

However, the one that inspires me the most is their powerful vulnerability.

They proudly bloom in the middle of the sidewalk, where they can be stomped on at any time. I find this terrifying.

Patience, my friends, I haven’t lost my mind. I understand that flowers are not human beings.

I know plants have no choice or agency of movement.

But to make your way through the hardest rock, just because you happened to sprout there, to insist on making your virtue flourish and to risk everything to meet your destiny, this is an absolute representation of courage.

Courage to face life, courage to stand worthy, courage to accept that there is no control, that it will rain as much as there will be blue skies.

Bracing the adventure of life, being prepared to

give everything for the chance to experience the sun’s kiss at least once, reminds me that for every time I feel vulnerable, there is an opportunity to be courageous too.
